2013-2023: Head Coach at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. During his tenure, he won the SCAC Coach of the Year in 2016 and led the team to a conference championship in the same year.
Austin has built a strong reputation for program building and has achieved numerous accolades, including 176 all-conference selections, 15 all-Americans, and 3 NCAA champions

Game Plan Consideration & Ready list
When you game plan each week there are a few things to consider when you run the Tex-Bone. Every play is unpredictable to defend, every play could be spread or option-based. “Stop the option defense” leads to big plays in play action. This is two offenses, with one set of players. There are multitude of ways to organize a play call menu, in this course we will discuss what we feel works best for us and how it can help you with your game plan for next season.

Individual Techniques, Blocking Combinations and Play specific drills.
In this course you will learn about offensive line EDD’s (Every Day Drills), combination blocking drills, and specific drills that teach individual plays. We will explain our 50 gallon barrel drills and how we incorporate these drills into our offense. Coach Tom Ross demonstrates all the important drills he does with his players to help make them successful in the Tex-Bone offense.
